N Branch of AuSable, Lovells to Kellogg Bridge at N Down River Road
Unfortunately, Norm has injured his knee so probably will not be able to join us for the paddle. I've waited a week to do this section, since I couldn't do Jack's Escapade, so don't want to cancel.

Come enjoy the gorgeous N Branch before it's too shallow. We will stop along the way for a short picnic lunch. Bring PFD, paddle, bow & stern lines, snack, water & appropriate clothing in a dry bag. There is an opportunity to finish 2 hrs earlier, if you want to paddle halfway to Dam 4 Rd. Afterwards, refreshments can be purchased at the Kellogg Bridge store on N Down River Rd.

I have agreed to do a cleanup of anything easily accessible for Norm since BRCS gets a donation for doing it, as long as it doesn't slow us down much. I am still only functioning at 75% (recovery day # 62), so not willing to tire out on my longest paddle so far.

For DRIVING DIRECTIONS (2 options), see N Br of AuSable (Lovells Bridge Access).

Here's a sampling of PHOTOS from my last trip on 6/6/12 at https://tapc.clubexpress.com/content.aspx?page_id=187&club_id=813410#  It took us from 9:30AM-2PM at a leisurely pace, with a lengthy lunch stop.

If rain is forecast, call me before you leave home since paddle could be cancelled.
