May 13 Main AuSable River

For many years, we have led this outing as our first river trip of the season as well as the last one. Usually it goes in mid-April, but this year is different, in SO many ways. In fact, we were originally going to paddle at Arbutus Lake, but the night before, we changed it to the AuSable, and two more people signed up within 1/2 hour.
So Mike R, Jocelyn, Marlene, John & I (Lois) met at Penrod's in Grayling, and paddled down to Stephan Bridge. Lots of wildlife and several people fishing, plus only two other watercraft. See photos below by the two Js. Thanks to Marv for helping with the shuttle; we all wore facemasks.
It was a delightful way to celebrate our 42nd anniversary.
