August 3 Boardman

Five of us paddled from the Forks to Brown Bridge Landing, running the shuttle at 9 AM. My favorite shuttle bunny, John, met us at BBL to take us back so that all our vehicles could remain at the takeout. Susan and Gerald had come over from Frankfort, and Bob M and his friend Chet came from Prudenville. Chet had some challenges with eddies and downed trees, but came through unscathed and upright. We saw a couple of fishermen along the way, but otherwise just a few geeseand other birds plus numerous wildflowers. For Bob and Chet, it was their first tiem on the Boardman, and now they realize what a gem it is!
When we arrived at BBL, there were hoards of people putting in, with tubes, canoes and kayaks, and a whole lot of beer - giant coolers and beer bongs. Our work on the Boardman cleanups will never end.
Lunch at Samsara was superb!
