Join us for the Annual Cleanup on the Manistee River. The Kalkaska Conservation District has partnered with various organizations to host cleanup days on the Manistee River. Each year the District and partners will focus on sections of the river that are in the most need. 2018 cleanup days will focus on 22 river miles over 3 different days. Join us for one of the days!

Saturday, August 4, 2018 Rainbow Jim Bridge (Coster Rd) to Lucas Road (Missaukee Bridge). Approximately 5 river miles. Meet at Rainbow Jim Bridge in the morning. We will launch from Rainbow Jim Bridge after introductions and a safety meeting. Snacks en route will be available and lunch will be provided at the end of the cleanup. Our partners will meet us at Lucas Road (Missaukee Bridge) and shuttle volunteers and watercraft back to Rainbow Jim Bridge for lunch after the cleanup. If you are interested in or willing to carpool, please send Renee a quick note letting her know your preference.

*Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own canoe or kayak and personal flotation device (PFD) if possible. Watercraft can be provided upon request by contacting Renee Penny at least one week prior to the event.
