Betsie paddle & pedal

Two adventures for the price of one! For no additional gas money, a fine day of paddling & pedaling was had by beginning the bike ride where the paddle ended. The weather started off cool, cloudy, overcast & gray, but ended with sunshine & warmth. Here is the tally for the day:
6 paddlers
4 bikers
43 fishermen/women
2 eagles
3 types of ducks
10 turtles
1 deer
1 goldfinch
5 kingfishers
3 Great Blue Herons
1 Red Tailed Hawk
0 other kayakers
     Even though we spotted a large pile plus a black garbage bag of fish guts at the put in, we were not deterred from setting out on the river. We reported the infraction to the DNR & an officer was dispatched to take care of the issue.
