About this event

Boardman River Post Spring Flood Large Debris Cleanup

(Canceled but some of us went anyway - We'll try again next week)

There are three sections to clean.

It may take 3 days to do this project but we'll try to do it in two.

1. BB Landing to River Pitch - approx. 10 pieces

2. River Pitch to Shumsky - approx. 10 pieces

3. Shumsky to Beitner - approx. 10 pieces

There are three pieces in the Beitner Rapids but they may be accessible by land - we'll see.

It's not quite as bad as last year.

When we did the recon trips, we pulled out all the pieces we could get to
and put them on the shore, so they are ready to cut up and load.

There a few tough ones but we have found and marked them all
and they will be easier to do this time.

We know how to do this now and we know what to expect, so come along
and have some fun on the river using ropes, winches and chain saws.

Our job will be to carry the cut up pieces to the next available drop off points so we will be in large tandem canoes.  Kayakers are welcome but we need canoeists.
