Moving water experience a must. We will launch at Woodpecker Creek - take the road off to the right as you drive towards the Hodenpyl dam on the Access road. There is a turn around at Woodpecker Creek. Have your boat rigged and be ready to shuttle by 10 am - Be sure to have room for passengers in your car. Outfit your boat for safety - bow and stern painters, and other gear you find necessary (pump, spray deck, dump clothes, etc.) Pack water, any other refreshment, and lunch. Expect 3 to 4 hours of paddling.

Join us on the Manistee River for a nice, active paddling trip on this wilderness section. Enjoy this powerful river with challenges like squirrely large eddies and currents requiring maneuvering. We will launch at Woodpecker Creek and end at Red Bridge, stopping along the way for lunch.
