Early season vista tour of sights over and on the water of beautiful Lime Lake. Circle paddle of this 670 acre lake few stops to note inlets and outlet on the flow toward Good Harbor Bay. Enjoy clear water and natural shorelines preserved by The Leelanau Conservancy on two sides of the lake and get views of iconic Sugar Loaf from on the water.
On water time estimate, 1.5 hours. Expect early season water and air temperatures and plan accordingly. We will stay close to shore and keep the group close together as we circle the lake. Direction of travel will be determined by wind upon arrival. Sign-ups will allow contact if conditions result in cancellation.
Meet at DNR Boat Ramp on the southwest corner of the lake, 6305 S Maple City Rd which is 2.3 miles north of Maple City. Launch at 10:00 with earlier arrival to off-load and prep gear. There is a ramp, dock and vault toilet at the launch and ample parking.
