About this event

Join us for an evening paddle on Ellis Lake, between Grawn and Interlochen. Ellis Lake is a small lake with a public launch at the end of Ellis Lake Road, off of 31. The lake has a creek that runs under 31 and connects to Tonawanda Lake to the south, as part of the greater Betsie River watershed. The creek can be explored for a short distance for the more adventurous in the group. This is a good lake for fishing, if that's of interest.

JSU trips are mellow, informal, easy leisure paddles on local lakes. They are a good place to get to know fellow paddlers. We paddle for 1 – 1 ½ hours. Bring your boat, life jacket, and paddle.  Canoes, recreational kayaks, etc. are welcome. These trips will cancel for rain or high winds. Typically, some of the participants will go out for dinner or drinks afterwards. Starting time is 6pm.
