15 mile, 5 hr paddle (with 2 stops) down the Pine from Briarpatch to Elm Flats on a gorgeous, sunny day. Only 2 unexpected happenings: 1) the kayaker tipped getting in at the put-in, but was comfortable paddling in wet clothes (BRRR!), and 2) there was no way to bunny hop a downed tree, so worked as a team to get the boats over it from the log & steep bank since the river was too deep. What a fun adventure with friends Jocelyn, Ian, Bob & Kathy!

This downed tree was too high out of the water to bunny hop, so we had to
come up with another solution since the river was too deep & the bank too steep.
