Fast Upper Platte paddle at 162 cfs with Harold & Pam this morning, with eagles soaring above, mergansers & blue heron taking flight, ducklings scurrying to mama, and a muskrat, too! Love manuevering under the overhanging trees in the cedar swamp & dodging gravel bars! An adventure around every bend! Since we finished early, we had time to have a picnic lunch on Crystal Lake beach in Beulah. BTW, I only posted this trip after the fast Pine, less than 48 hrs in advance, so good idea to check the calendar often.
