June 6 Boardman River Forks-Brown Bridge Landing

?Boy was it ever a great day on the Boardman! Two DDS (John M & Norm) plus a BS (Tracie, who actually has her BS in BS due to being an Animal Science major) headed down the river ahead of schedule since a pre-shuttle was done by the Docs. Lots of birds were heard along with the twittering of the paddlers, we hadn't seen each other in quite some time, well, at least Tracie hadn't paddled with either of the guys recently! The up coming BRCS was among the topics of conversation. The weather was superb, some sun, some clouds, a little wind. A leisurely lunch stop was taken at Scheck's Place campground. Norm pointed out all the trees he helped clear from the river this spring, and told about the effort it took to get it all done. We once again enjoyed the new route through Brown Bridge Quiet Area, noticing the grass seeding is starting to take hold & has grown about 3" or so. Water has gone down somewhat & exiting at the landing was easy. Toting all the gear & boats up to the parking lot is still a workout. The guys were good though & left no "Trace" behind.
