This trip on the Pine River will go from Dobson Bridge to Low Bridge. Each car will need to have a vehicle permit ($5 per day if you don't have an annual pass - pay at the parking areas). There will be a break for lunch at Peterson. Paddling time should be about 4 to 5 hours. Given the possibility of tight turns, obstructions, and maneuvering through riffles, you will need to be able to move your boat sideways and place it anywhere on the river. If you are not sure that you have the skills to paddle the Pine, call Ron Coyne to talk about it. Hopefully it should be a nice trip through the little rapids that await us during the trip. There are good opportunities for wildlife sightings, and maybe some wildflowers along the river banks.
