  This trip is by special request from Jackie. She missed it when it was done earlier in the summer.
  We will meet early enough to start & hopefully finish the trip with little other traffic on the river. We plan a lunch at Shirley's in the Woods cafe after we are done paddling for those so inclined.
  The section of Manistee we will be floating is wide, not especially deep, & has very little to navigate around in the river. It is a good trip for beginners or anyone wanting a nice relaxing time on the water. The pace will be set by the trip hosts to ensure no one will be left behind or have to struggle to keep up. If you are a fast paddler be prepared to go at a slower pace if needed. We want the group to stay together & not spread too far apart for safety reasons.
