On Friday evening we changed the date of this trip, in order to avoid rain on Saturday and have bright sunshine on Sunday. Our original shuttle driver had to cancel, so we have decreased the capacity to be able to keep the other original registrants. BUT, if you want to join us, give me a call and perhaps we can work it out if the shuttle stars align.
Our outing will cover the stretch on the Manistee River from M-72 to the CCC Bridge. We haven't had many TAPC trips on this section of the Manistee, but if you want to see what it was like on a previous trip, click here:

This section of the river is about 17 miles long; it's wide with quite a few turns, with a sandy bottom all the way. We will be paddling for about 5 hours, and will stop along the way for a leisurely lunch break. The trip is an excellent one for paddlers of any skill level (but you need endurance), and if the group is interested, expect several authorized swim breaks!
We will meet at the access on the south side of M-72, just east of the Manistee River,
18.6 miles east of Kalkaska, and 8 miles west of Grayling. The exact meeting time will be included with your e-mail confirmation.
