This section of the Betsie lends itself to a leisurely pace.  Although it can be paddled in 1.5 hours, we can take our time, and perhaps have a swim break, or explore one or more of the small wetland pockets along the way.  We often see muskrats and other wildlife here.
 
Those wishing to meet for lunch at Crystal Cafe should let me know, and plan to arrive at 12:30.  The Crystal Cafe is located in the strip mall next to the Shop-N-Save in Benzonia, at US-31 and Love Rd, directly across US-31 from the McDonald's.  Love Road becomes Grace Road on the east side of US-31.  Those skipping lunch can meet at the restaurant by 1:30 and follow us to the put-in, or go directly to the put-in, on the right side of Grace Road, 0.6 mi west of US-31.
