We are posting this trip now to make sure that the river gets cleaned up now that the National Cherry Festival is over.  The 4th of July tubing crowds use this stretch extensively, so we suspect there might be a bit of stuff to retrieve.  Normally the section between Shumsky and Beitner takes an hour to paddle, so we hope to be able to clean it in 2 or 3 hours.

Note: we plan to run the shuttle at 1:15 PM. Bring your usual paddling gear and a grabber stick. If you don't own one, I have a couple of extras - let me know if you need to borrow one. Don't forget ropes for the bow and stern of your boat. I will bring a few big trash bags; please bring some small ones.
