Come and join us! The forecast looks great for Saturday: 60 and sunshine! Beginning paddlers are particularly welcome (as well as experienced ones). If you are a new member, or are thinking of joining the club, this is a good introduction. Need help with boat unloading? Not a problem. We plan to be on the water about 1.5 hours, paddling at a relaxed pace.
Lake Dubonnet is usually a great trip for photographers, with plenty of wildlife, including the ospreys who have made this lake a home in previous years. This is a delightful outing to get used to your boat, now that spring is finally arriving! It may be a bit cool, but the lake should be calm and serene. Please wear appropriate footwear that you can use to step into the water.
No current
Casual pace
No shuttle
Plenty of time to socialize, maybe lunch out beforehand?

Lake Dubonnet
Meet at the DNR access in the Lake Dubonnet Campground. From Chum’s Corners (US-31 and M-37), go west on US-31 about 7 miles, and just past the Interlochen Golf Club, turn right (north) on Gonder Road. Go about 1 mile until the road curves to the right, but do not follow the curve. Instead, continue north on the dirt road about .8 mile and just before the campground registration building, turn right to the boat access parking lot (100 yards).
