About this event

This is a narrow, shallow gravel river among cedar swamp, with lots of twists & turns, and some riffles. It takes approx 2 hrs to paddle the 7 mile stretch through Honor to Indian Hill Rd, another 1/2 hr to 45 minutes to paddle to Deadstream Rd. Bring PFD, paddle, bow & stern lines, snack, water & appropriate clothing in a dry bag.

There will be 2 options for the take-out, depending on the wind on Platte Lake: 1) along the eastern shore of Platte Lake, or 2) up the creek (N Platte River). If it gets windy & rough during our 3 hr paddle, it may not be safe to paddle on the lake.

If cold rain or thunderstorms forecast, this trip may be cancelled. Call me if uncertain.
