June 1 - 10th Annual Upper Platte River Cleanup

We teamed up with the Benzie Conservation District again this year to do this
multi-section cleanup on the Upper Platte.

This year, we had a great crew which included at team from the Invasive Species
Department of the BCD.  They washed our boats at the putin and takeout to
reduce the chance of cross contamination from invasives.
THANK YOU!
JODY AND JANE.

It was a prefect day and the river was very clean.

We did remove some dimensional lumber with long nasty nails and a
few very rotted pallets.  We left them along the way and came back later to
get them.  All the home owners we asked for help were cooperative.

Jim Keglovitz hosted a nice picnic at his river cottage with delicious
brats and dogs cooked by his brother and father.

Many thanks to our great volunteers, the BCD and to Jim and his
family for their hospitality.
